MoodGym is an initiative of the Centre for Mental Health Research at the Australian National University. It is an interactive web programme designed to prevent depression. It consists of five modules, an interactive game, anxiety and depression assessments, downloadable relaxation audio, and a workbook - www.moodgym.anu.edu.au
The Centre for Clinical Interventions is a WA Government Initiative that provides a number of services including downloadable resources for patients covering treatment approaches for a number of common psychiatric conditions. These resources are based on the principles of cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) - www.cci.health.wa.gov.au
'Change your Thinking' is the best self help book based on CBT I have read. Written by Sarah Edelman, now a Sydney based Clinical Psychologist (who previously worked in WA), it is readable and culturally attuned to an Australian population. At the time of writing it is under $20 from the Book Depository - www.bookdepository.co.uk.
